As a Civil Funeral Celebrant, it is my privilege to have served many grieving families, to have helped at a time when they needed practical advice and someone to take some of the burden.
When the death of a loved one occurs, you may be quite literally stunned. It feels like there is an overwhelming number of things to do – things you don’t know how to do. Where do you start?
My role is to guide you and to prepare a ‘Thanksgiving of Life’ Service. This means writing, or helping the family to write, an accurate and appropriate eulogy to celebrate and pay tribute to the life that has been lived. I also help with other requirements of the Service including music, poetry, dress code, video presentation and photographs, as well as collating personal tributes. Selecting what is right and best for each occasion is an important part of my work. Simply, I put the Service together.
You may choose a chapel, a graveside, your home, or somewhere else for the Service. You may choose a cremation or a burial. You may choose to place the ashes at the Cemetery, scatter them to the four winds, or lay them to rest in a special place. You may also choose your Civil Funeral Celebrant and Funeral Director.
The funeral is the last act we may perform for the deceased – as such, it must be done well. To help you through this difficult time, phone or email me or simply complete and send the form below.
