About

I was appointed as a Civil Celebrant in 1988 and have not lost the absolute pleasure of sharing so much happiness and watching eyes light up with love. The saying that each Bride is radiant on her wedding day is true!

Now, a little about me. I was born in Atherton when it was a sleepy little village. I had a wonderful childhood in a safe and friendly town. The need to see what was on the ‘other side’ saw me taking off around the world at an early age and has continued all my life. I have lived in many countries and loved every moment. It has given me so much and taught me the value of every person. This ‘wanderlust’ has never left me and every now and then I give in to my itchy feet.

Along the way, I obtained a number of University Degrees in the ‘caring’ professions and raised my family. It seems my nature was always one of wanting to help others. In addition to experience, I continue to keep up to date with weddings and legalities by ongoing professional development.

Others tell me I have an eye for detail, a sense of fun, welcome a challenge and love to organise. I wonder what that says about me!

The past few years have been a labour of love doing up my house and finding that I am a natural gardener. There is a lot of joy in watching something grow.

Each service is special and rewarding in its own way. Be it a wedding or a funeral, it allows me to be a part of your life for a time. And it is this that I treasure – helping.
